Well on the BMW Configurator my 2018 RTLE with my current spec is over £19,000 have to have a good hard study about if it is worth part exchanging , with the ongoing problem with leaking calipers i think i,ll hang on to see what the new model achieves , cannot understand why BMW do not make changes to comments on useless tour screen , seat comfort etc .

From what I read the Nav on the TFT is dumb. You Nav from a BMW app on your phone, so if you can put a route into the app, then the TFT will handle it. So you will probably have to plan a route on something to produce a file compatible with the BMW App.

Your right, since found out that's the case, speed camera warnings? was quite keen on this new model earlier, but losing enthusiasm now somewhat, configurator shows Alpine White with black wheels which I liked, now told cant have them, looking at various shots of different screens on the TFT left me not very impressed, why do we need to stare at a great big rev counter all day!  ... beginning to prefer my analog dash

Still thinking about it

Did someone mention backlit buttons? That would be a nice touch but haven't seen anything about it other than a mention here.

Although the release info does mention a 'Double tone fanfare' so I guess that is legit.

The TFT display works in conjunction with an app on your cell phone.
The app, BMW Motorrad connected, allows you to import gpx files from other applications and also export gpx files.
Maps download is free and can be downloaded ahead of time for offline use.
Check it out on the play store. I believe iOS and Android versions are available.

Scunny12 +1

I'd have preferred better mirrors and seat.  Still love my 1250RT, though!

Why on earth does it not have decent mirrors, similar to the K1600?
Just don't ask me to get up and dance..
