SatNav needed

Post by BeeJay »

Hello, looking to replace the Zumo 660 on SWMBO's CB1000 as it's playing up and rebooting during trips. She inherited it when I upgraded to a Nav V on my RT.
I don't want to go to Nav VI yet as I am considering the 21 RT1250 with TFT screen in which case Anne will use my Nav V. But we don't use blue tooth so that could be a problem.
So does anyone have a 660 or NavIV (or V) that they no longer use, for a decent price of course?
UK only and can collect from SY10 area (Nth Shropshire) or somewhere not too far away, mind you, a great excuse for a ride out. I also have family in Newcastle under Lyme and Sth Derbyshire who would collect for me.
The 660 jumped out of its cradle a couple of years ago in Glen Coe. Traffic was light and I managed to stop safely, run back and collected it before it was mashed. Had to get the screen replaced but it would never connect to PC consistently. I used to load routes directly onto the sd card.
Hope someone can help.
:)

All sorted now.
Thanks to those that emailed me.
Managed to get a good deal from Grimsby Motorrad on a new Nav VI, and ebay were offering £50 off.
Looking around I paid less than some have for a 2nd hand unit.

There are some Zumo 660 and BMW Nav. IV mounts on ebay.

The BMW Nav. IV mount (#2) is still available, https://bmwsupply.co.uk/part/details?se ... w=btdetail

The Zumo 660 mount has been discontinued.

Garmin Zumo 660 Automotive (car) mounts are still available. Before I purchased a second motorcycle mount, a car mount was used with the sat. nav. placed in the map pocket of a tank bag. Worked quiet well, was able to power the device from the bike and receive voice prompts via a hardwired Autocom. Might not be ideal but could be a solution particularly if the sat. nav. is to be used with Bluetooth.

Is a car mount of any use?
