BMW R1200RT/R1250RT Forum

Hi,
New here and really like the board.
I am leaving riding for now. I am a 1950s model and
have decided it is time to sell my 2005 Model R1200 RT
Great bike with all the upgrades ( three bags )
Mint Condition - Grey Graphite
I am thinking I will put it up on Craig's List here in the Detroit area.
Just want a no nonsense sale with little anguish.
Anyone have any experience with other sales venues that I might want to consider?

I think Craig’s is probably your best bet, unless you have a dealer nearby who can put the bike in their showroom and sell it on consignment. In my experience, if you price it fairly, it’ll be a no-anguish sale. Good luck!

Never thought of the BMW Dealer angle.  May be a possibility for me but I think they would take too big of a slice.


CL will be my choice going forward but I will explore the dealer possibility.
