Thought I would post a little update on this!


Deposit paid and the sale depends on the test ride tomorrow


Found a 66 plate 14000 miler with loads of bells and whistles

Well I went for the test ride and I must say compare to the FJR its a totally different bike!


Feels so much lighter and easier to ride so much so I bought it


Pick her up on Tuesday

Is that a huge BMW logo on the side of the tank? Is it stuck on?


You have just discovered what we BMW riders have known for so long. Namely (and generalising a bit) that the Japanese bikes are all about the magnificent engines viz FJR1300, Kawasaki GTR1400 or supercharged Z1000SX H2, where as BMWs are more about a balanced engine/chassis package.


Thinking back to my 2005 RT I remember catching up with an FJR1300 through every corner (even though I was carrying a pillion) only to be left struggling to overtake as he opened the taps on the straights.

The logo is all part of the tank protection system thats on the bike which includes a tank pad and protectors where the knees are


Yes the FJR has some big taps  :))
