Has anyone got one of the above screens fitted to a wethead?

I have a couple of questions that I would like answering

I wish Wunderlich would release a touring screen for the '21 year model. BMWs' larger screen retails for near £400. They seem to have quite a range for the the totally new big seller - the R18 :beee:

When you ha e the screen in the fully down position do the extra wings on each side touch the stock wind deflectors that's attached to the fairing?

Do you also have reflections on the screen when it's fully up?

Or just any issues at all?

I have one and I'm not too impressed to be honest

I'm never quite sure what people want from screens and I think we probably all have different levels of expectations but this is my opinion of the screen. Firstly I find the stock one fine. In summer I usually have it in the lowest position, I like the airflow. When its wet then I have it slightly up but I'm not the type of rider that looks through the screen. I'm 6ft 1in and I found in the wet protection was good but my shoulders got wet. Also my wife complained of wind buffeting. So that's why I bought the wider Wunderlich screen with the wings. The effect was that it reduced the buffeting for her and kept the wind off my shoulders. Overall worked well. The wings do not touch the standard clear deflectors in the full down position. I have never had either screen fully up but I expect it would be like riding with a barn door attached to the bike. The further up the screen goes the more vertical it is and as such the air coming off the top becomes more turbulent and for me more uncomfortable. So sorry cannot confirm reflections in the full up position. To be honest if solo riding I think I would probably like the short sport screen in dry summer days but for now happy with the standard in lowest position.

The screen has been on 2 RT's, I've had no problems on either. It doesn't touch anything,  no reflections that I'm aware of. I have got the smoked one though.
Being tall I don't get any of the buffeting that comes with the stock screen.Very pleased with it.

Thanks all for confirming

I have a Wunderlich already and the wings are touching the standard wind deflectors and I have a lot of reflections on the screen if I put it all the way up

I like the screen but there is something not right with it!

I will be contacting the seller and express my opinion

I’ve had one for the last four years and it works very well (I’m 6’4”)
It’s very good in normal UK weather (wet!) but almost too good in very hot weather. It doesn’t touch the deflectors, there’s a gap of about 5mm, so it sounds like yours isn’t fitted correctly. I’ve never noticed any reflections. I would check yours again before “expressing your opinion”. [emoji3]

I spoke to Wunderlich seen as though the screen was already fitted correctly

here's the reply from them

Thank you very much for your patience.
We checked the topic and have already heard of it. Approximately 1% of these screens has this issue as it is curved a bit too much.
Unfortunately, this happens during the manufacturing process and cannot be seen when we receive the screens as we talk about mm.
Of course, we´d like to exchange the screen to a new one.

Thanks for confirming I should have a 5mm gap on my correctly fitted screen

Wow, that’s quite an admission on their part. At least they’ve offered to replace it. I found it very good so I say stick with them.[emoji106]

I intend on staying with the screen although I was asked by wunderlich to send this email to the supplier and I have had no response from them on it

Lets see what tomorrow brings when the screen is delivered to them

I was debating whether to go for a tinted one to be honest

I thought about a tinted one but glad I didn’t as it’s a big screen and you’d effectively be looking through a darker screen the whole time which I wouldn’t want, especially in lowlight conditions.
