Mirrors

Post by John O »

Hi, just joined the forum, so hopefully I will find some answers to my questions over the forseeable future.
I have a 2012 rt1200 and want to remove the mirrors.  Haynes manual says there is a little grub screw under the housing ,but  its not on my bike. Any info on how I remove the mirrors would be great
            Thanks  John O.

Thanks for all the replies
As I say there is no_ set screw on the housing. It's a 2012 bike.
Is it the way that I smack
the housing to remove it,then I get access to the mirror fixings.? Anyone come across this situation?
                        Thanks

I have a 2012 Camhead and there is a screw. Following the instructions in the video and thread, I was able to remove the mirror glass.

You need to first push the lower edge of the mirror into the housing, then loosen the screw with a suitable Torx key through the hole on the underside of the housing.

The above directions have been taken from the Haynes manual.

Whereabouts are you located.

So what you are saying there is no hole in the bottom of your mirror housing to spear the screwdriver into about an inch and loosen said screw to release the mirror????
