RTLC Rider footrest lowering kit from Amazon.co.uk

Post by Steve398 »

Found what must be a direct copy of the Wunderlich riders footrest lowering kit for the 2014-21 LC on Amazon for less than £60 instead of Wunderlich’s Nippy Norman price of £179…. Has to be worth a punt!

Having received this kit there is no doubt it is an absolute copy, with exactly the same parts included, right down to the washers.  Even the fitting instructions are a direct copy from Wunderlich with blank spaces where the Wunderlich title and emblem would be, in all other aspects identical… except of course the price which is about 1/3 of the German Co.

Question how would you know if it's made of the same stuff. Is the metal of good quality. I wouldn't be able to tell.

Would I know one from another? Probably not, it's nicely finished and the bolts etc. look good.

The thought also occurred to me, but there is no obvious discernible faults to my limited view or knowledge. I was trying to think of circumstances when they're likely to come under strain, but the best I could think of is when I lift myself out of the saddle for a sleeping policeman. I'll bounce around on them a bit the next time I'm in the garage.

I'm new to the bike, as only picked her up yesterday.  2014 RTP, its not an LC though, its the last of the TC's.  I'm presuming these would not work on my bike?  I need to get right into the forum and start learning.  This is my 1st RT of many bikes :)

Does anyone know if Wunderlicht manufacture themselves, or is this the same product from the same factory without going to Wunderlicht first?
