Police Beacons

Good Afternoon all,
We're looking to connect up the Blue lights on our 2014 R1200RTP Blood Bike for shows, etc as it draws people in and generates us the funding we need as a charitable organisation.  Does anyone have a simple wiring diagram showing how to get the beacons connected to the genuine BMW RTP switches on the bars which I believe are canbus?

Many thanks

We have just taken ours off. If you have already found the plugs and they are not working then someone has disconnected them from the canbus. They will in this case need to be programmed, as the switches can be programmed to perform lots of different functions. Specialist vehicles in Andover Hants are the ones that do all the blue light installations on authority bikes and they will be able to help. If you haven't connected them yet, I can point you in the direction of the connectors, as I took ours off our 2014 RTp. But having had some issues with ours when they were fitted, its not a simple plug in and go.

Hi, thanks for this, I thought this may be the case with Canbus, I was thinking about just wiring into the battery via a relay and using the switch as just that a milliamp switch.  Any advice or help you can give would be good, and a link or otherwise to Andover would be good.

Cheers

Being cheeky what have you taken off and would you donate it to a charity?
