Will a 2018 UK model have Shift Assist Pro as standard?

Post by potatan »

Hi,

New here. I've searched but can't find a definitive answer. Thinking of buying a 2018 R1200RT but I'd like Shift Assist as I had it on my RS and liked it. The dealer with the bike is not sure as it is located at a different showroom, so can anyone confirm whether a 2018 UK model would have Shift Assist Pro as a standard fitment or would it be an option on top of the base specification?

Alternatively if I can get the VIN does this site still work: https://www.mdecoder.com/

Thanks

When I got my bike back in 2014 I was able to get shift assist pro retro-fitted. I would check your dealer to see if this is still available.

Any reason you cannot phone the dealer who has the bike and ask.

Its on my 2019 LE spec 1250 and a 2020 LE spec 1250 in the fleet. Must be linked to a pack, on both the other bikes they have dynamic pack included.

Thanks all - I've got the VIN from the dealer and checked it on the decoder - it has Shift Assist, ABS Pro and Heated seats apparently.

Now I just need to read all about replacement Satnavs as it doesn't come with a BMW NAV VI or V etc.
