New to me 09 with 38k.
Pulled all plastics to remove as much of the RTP harness as reasonable.
Plugs look good
New YSS shocks on the way, tires too.


I adjusted the valves and figure I’ll also  do a TB sync while I’m in there. Also oils/fluids and grease the splines on FD.


What else should I inspect or service?

I hate dealing with tupperware, so in February I did a complete 12k mile check on my new to me 17RT with only 5K miles on it. The only thing I found wrong was that the valve timing was off. Since the bike was 5 years old, I changed all the fluids. It may seem anal but today I feel confident that my bike is in the best mechanical condition possible and will take me where ever I want to go.be
