Had a mild tip over on my 18 RT and scarred up the right side mirror housing. I assume that I can replace the housing only, but looking at the parts fiche, it shows a pricey set of “clips” that I don’t know if they are required.


Can anyone give me an idea of what parts are necessary and if there are any complications in replacing the mirror housing? Thanks in advance.

I replaced my mirror cover and mirror on my RT 1250. The clips fit on the back of the mirror housing, and are already in situ.
So you only need the cover, which fits over the clips.

Did the same on my 07 when i had a spill at 5mph. The price for a new cover is way too dear. In the end, i wrapped both in a fake carbon sheet. Most people who've seen it said i suited the bike
