I am looking for a plug

Got any questions about the BMW's R1200RT/R1250RT's onboard audio, Bluetooth or the Electrical system?

I am looking for a plug

Post by Randyjaco »

I am looking  for the 10 pin round connector (red indicator inside) that connects to the top case wiring harness for a  2017  R1200RT The wiring harness part number is 61128354792. This harness fits multiple 1200 and 1600 bikes, but it sells for @$300.  All I need is the connector. Does anyone know of a source or part number for this barrel connector?
The pictures show what the connector would plug in to

Simply put! you cannot buy this part separately! it comes with the top box

You can't even buy the wiring loom!

I have searched high and low in the past as I was positive I had seen them for sale but you just cannot find it at all

Unless the dealers can order it

Your can buy normal 5 pin connectors and cut the other round plug off, keep it safe and solder back on if selling the bike

Try going to a vehicle breaker. All BMW cars use the same plug and socket as our bikes. With a pair of wire cutters, you should be able to remove the plug/socket with enough wires attached.
