Post by sakm »

There is various types of RT out there and it can get confusing when people are talking about a specific model

Here is a list of some of the common terms used for the R1200RT and 1250RT

Camheads: 2010-2013
Wetheads: 2014-2018 Also known as R1200RTW or R1200RT LC (Liquid Cooled)
Shiftcams: 2019-2023

14 to 20 Anologue clocks with Nav 4/5/6 connectivity above the clocks. 21 models onwards TFT display with sat nav built in via the Connected Ride app.

When searching RealOEM for parts, this comes up.

My guess is that K5x is the LC model and K52 is the Series as in RT.

The website below is interesting and may answer a few people's questions.

Type in your 17 digit VIN number and it'll give you the specification your bike was built to and the actual production date:-

I have it correct as it works on the Hexcan site and it has worked for me in the past. No idea why it doesn't work for me with a new VIN.

I was going to say that it could be waiting for the database to be updated but obviously that's not it

It's the oddest thing as I used it back in the summer when I was looking at a 2009 RT. I got the full option list for the bike.
Now it says VIN not found.
