And to be Honest looking at it I think someone has had a go at it before

I took the plunge and removed it and removed all the lose flaking paint gave it a sand to rough it up masked it up and gave it 4 coats of black hammarite smooth

And to be honest I am pretty impressed with the result! the paint is a very good match to the original

While I was at it I also stripped the spot light brackets as they was showing signs of rust showing through

I was also pleased with the outcome of those too

Nice job looks professional!, my 2019 has the scab on the right TB , I was going to try and remove my centre stand for powder coating but I might spray it now.

Those springs look pretty tough to disengage… tempting to use brush hammerite

Yes I agree! But at least they have something you can use the pull the springs

Others I have removed have just the spring ;)

Put the bike on the centre stand and place washers between the gaps in the spring, push the bike off the stand and the spring stays extended and easier to remove. Repaint the stand then reverse the procedure. :thumb:
