2013 RT front end re-assembly

Hi all,
Bought a 2013 RT project

Stripped it down, took lots of pics etc. The re-assembly is going good however before I finalize the last bits; mirrors, front turn signal assemblies, remaining fairings I have this wire with no mate (that I can find so far)

Any thoughts? When I reinstalled the wiring harness I followed the inherent 'curves' and bends in the loom and this wire comes out the right side of the bike however it appears long enough to reach over to the left side if necessary. Anybody had or have their headlight assembly off to see it they can recognize the connector? Maybe identify the two metal clips as no other wiring appears to use those clips?
I have a funny feeling it goes over to the button consul on the left and connects there or maybe to air temp sensor which is don't have on yet. Any help would be appreciated.
For the record, after connecting what I can, the bike lights up; instruments, headlight, all signals function. Speakers work. The fuel pump operates and the bike fires up.

Maybe identify the two metal clips as no other wiring appears to use those clips. I have a funny feeling it goes to air temp sensor.

Looking at this still shot form the MAX BMW video at 3:59, the clips certainly suggest that it's the temperature sensor.
The connector looks slightly different unless its' damaged or an aftermarket replacement.
Putting a short across the connector may give a reading on the dash.

Nailed it David. Thank you for the clip and tip. I even watched that video in the past as I used to own a 06 RT. Now next and last wiring connector. This one is right behind the right side headlight pod, very little loom attached to it so it can't go very far.

I've currently got the fairing panels off my 2012 Camhead. If it can be seen with the panels off, I'll have a look next time I'm in the garage. Although, it looks like your bike has a radio and speakers.

Thanks. yes, the wire clip connector it should be visible with fairings off unless it's tucked in somewhere.
And yes, the ATS plug housing is damaged. It still fits into the ATS tightly. I'll likely secure it until I find a donor harness that I can purge a complete connector and cut and wire it in.

Looks like one wire is blue/green and the other is yellow/purple, is that correct.

Looking at the Haynes manual wiring diagram, there is a connector with the same wire colour codes. It goes to a Fuel regeneration valve (US models), would this apply to a Canadian model. Although the wiring diagrams are not brilliant, can't see any other 2 pin connector with that wire colour code combination.

I may have to inquire locally on this. Too bad I took my 06 RT to the dealership to consign sell or I'd look. My uneducated guess is US models generally have different (stricter) criteria as it relates to fuel/emissions etc so this plug is likely part of a harness but would have no function at the computer end of things. But again I'll inquire. thanks for the lead.

That connector feeds into the ECU, if the bike runs without any problems, it might just be superfluous.

Some bikes have a fuel tank breather valve with a two pin connector similar to that which we are looking at. I wonder if it's the same as a Fuel regeneration valve.

Yes, I believe a US bike as they have the charcoal cannister and all that goes with.

This is where the charcoal canister is located on a Hexhead RT. The FTBV could be in the same place.

I'll have a look next time I'm in the garage.

Cracked it, my bike has the same connector, it's just cable tied to the frame tube above your hand in this photo.
