Survey of RT mileages

Post by David. »

Prompted by this post, viewtopic.php?t=6730 how about a survey of mileages on member's RT's.

The "Allow re-voting:" box has been ticked, this will enable votes to be changed as the mileage increases.

If more than 100K miles, just list it in this thread.

If you have a particularly high mileage example, or an old low mileage bike, why not give some details here.

(For those in Km, divide by 1.6 to get miles).

My two previous RT's were 3 or 4 years old with 38K and 36K miles on the clocks when Px'ed.

The current 2012 Camhead has done 43K in 11 years and I don't have any plans to change it.

The bike was purchased (used) in 2014, I've done 40K of those 43K miles in 8 years an average of 5K per year. Only ride the RT April to October, 7 months.

(Did do over 4K miles on my 1980 Yamaha XJ650 in 2022).

I've covered 11000 miles in the last 12 months. Trips to southern France, Holland, Northern France, Wales, and Dartmouth. Made up for the time we were in lockdown. The bike now sits at 57494 miles in total. O7 plate.
Trust me I am a retired Doctor and lecturer at Oxford University of Structural and Mechanical/Electrical engineering.

My 2018 R1250RT, that I picked up in October has less than 7k on it at the moment, I hope to add to that as the weather improves.

Hi

Got a brand new one on the 6th Jan its only done 51 miles so far but weather been crap and I have been waiting on bits arriving that I wanted to add before riding it especially in the crap weather around NW England.
My previous one had done a fair amount but covid really meant 2 years with next to no riding and since lock down I don't commute everyday to the office so that around 100 +miles a week thats not happening

Having done 660 miles over the last two days, I'm now in the 45 - 50K bracket, therefore re-voted.

My 2011 RT has just turned over the 100K mile mark. Has been trouble free other than the rear shock leaked at 75k.
