From the Eder Dam, we headed to Wernigerode, that was the furthest East we got on this trip, (see blue route on map).

We was in Germany on the 70th anniversary!


A mate was running round with his arms out pretending to be a plane doing the dam buster theme tune :roll:

I thought we was going to get shot!

We never visited any of the dams though

in 2015 we went to Auschwitz which was an eye opener

It was at the Eder Dam where my bike refused to start. BMW kindly paid for us to stay in the hotel overlooking the dam. Next morning, the bike started, we road to Cassel and had the RHS combination switched changed under warranty.

Hi, yes we visited Auschwitz and Birkenau camps. Very sobering places.

I have heard the BMW recovery / warranty service is first class. You have had first hand experience of this.

Yes, wouldn't be without it, which is why I pay my £35 per month for 7 months.
