Just joined as I am thinking of upgrading my K1300GT to a new 1250RT LE. Any advice welcomed on do's/don't and features worth having, or not. Having a test ride tomorrow.

Hello and welcome, in January I traded my 12plate K1600GTLE in for a 20plate R1250RTLE after being given one as a loan bike while mine was being serviced in December last year.I didn't get on with the digtal screen and keyless ignition but the rest of the bike was spot on. It was nice to get on a twin again and the shift cam engine has plenty of go about it.It also doesn't have the radio which is fine by me.
The self adjusting suspension is good if you switch to two up riding. I think you'll like it. ;)

Hill Hold is an option worth having, It's not something you need if you've never had it, but it's something you'll miss once you have.

The RTLE should have everything you require apart from the audio i think its an option , the only thing i checked out before i purchased mine was the windscreen i found the stock one just too short to stop the wind noise so i fitted a touring screen , otherwise its up too you what you require if your touring etc good luck.
