Greetings and Salutations!

Post by Steveyacht »

New guy here. Been riding on pavement for about 52 years now, have owned several different brands and styles of road bikes since. From a 71, Honda CB 350, Goldwing Aspencade, to Victory Magnum, my current daily ride...... although I still have my first new bike, a 73 Norton 750 Commando.
My primary purpose for being here is to gain knowledge on the R1250, as I am currently focused on possibly buying one. Up to yesterday, my focus was on the excellent K1600B, but, it's just too heavy for me. I'm 5'6", 160ish with 27" inseam, with old injuries coming back to haunt me. The weight of the k1600 is just too much if I lost my footing. Hard for me to accept, but I must stay within my limitations.
So, here I am, hoping to use your collective knowledge and experience to assist me in making an intelligent decision.

Thanks in advance for your help and patience!
