Just saw a picture of the New GS coming out later this year. Whoever designed the headlights must have been drunk. Why, because they look like a pair of Dame Edna Everage's glasses.

Had a quick look at the configurator on the website. Triple Black version which has the electric screen and seems to be more road oriented.came in around 20k . This was after adding a couple of the option packs ( dynamic suspension, GPS /luggage prep) and luggage.
.Might be worth a test ride when they get a demo in the dealers..

I have a rule that I won't buy a bike that costs as much as my first house whether new or used. Always nice to have a bit of perspective . ;)

My first house in the 80's cost 12.5K thanks to Maggie Thatcher. Giving that i dont have much chance of buying a new bike under that. Secondly the wife would kill me if i bought a bike for that price.

My rule (as I've got older) is that you can't take it with you.

Sleekish. Will be interesting to see if the same design ideas will be used on new RS and RT.

Styling will grow on you. Especially when everybody on R1250GS will buy one.

I (probably) won't buy a bike that costs more than a top of the range BMW Car with all the extras.
(That should cover me)

I've just bought half of one in name, a 2011 F650GS twin 800 50k miles, the engine sounds sweet, no chain rattles.
It comes fitted with the following fitted;
Barkbusters
Denali driving lights
SW-Motech tank ring, engine guards, rear pannier rack and panniers
Tourtech topbox rack
Wunderlich side stand foot
MRA windshield
Mud Sling Rear & front guard extensions
Tourtech brake reservoir guard & radiator guard
Fuel exhaust
Quad Lock

Only 36000,- euros with all them bells and whistles.

Feels light. This felt tall with the factory tall seat.

Very positive feeling even though I could never afford one.
