2009 replacement panniers

I just sold my 2003 ST1300. I'm looking to upgrade to a 2009 - 2013 R1200RT. Here's one not too far from me but without panniers:

1) Before I drive over there...are replacement panniers pretty easy to find?
2) Is there a US salvage yard that specializes in BMWs?
3) Am I in the right forum? Is there a US specific forum somewhere?
4) Are the panniers interchangeable between years?
