Thanks for this post, very helpful and you've got a great end result. Please can you tell me how you are applying the primer and paint, do you have a spray gun?

Yes i have a mini spray booth in my workshop. I have 3 SIP spray guns, one for primer, one for basecoat colour and one for clearcoat. I have a 150ltr 3hp compressor, 5 water traps. I also have and use a air-fed mask as you dont want to be breathing in that crap.

Thanks for clarification. I'd love to do this sort of thing myself but can't warrant bringing in that sort of kit so will have to rely on my local paint chap.

I have painted many bikes and parts over the last 15 years, So my kit has paid for itself and more.
I started off with cheap secondhand gear, and bought new as i got better at spraying.
I first started paint outside under cover on summer days. I then just built it up from there.
But you dont want to be using this 2k crap without a mask, its a slow killer.
