So i got around to changing the injector seals on my little 2010 ford fusion 1.4 diesel .
Reason being i was getting the smell of diesel in the car and a missfire every so often.
I took the injectors out, cleaned them fitted new copper seals and orings.
I put the engine all back together, bled the fuel lines and started it up.
It did not sound very happy and the cog warning light came on the dash.
So i pluged in my OBD11 and used ForScan to get the fault codes.
It turned out that injector No2 had a fault. So i checked the wiring and all was good.
I then took apart everything again to remove No2 injector.
Took it down to my workshop to test it on a 12v battery and it was not working.
So i've now had to spend another £130 on a recon injector.
Hope that sorts the problem out.
Luckly its my around town car that i use for shopping and taking the dogs in.
So i still have my main car to use.

New used injector now fitted, and the car seems to be running and driving ok.
Still a little smell of diesel from around the engine, but that should soon burn away.
So i can now start work on Artie (i think).
