Does anyone use the OptiMate 4 for BMW charger.

I have used the Optimate 4 Canbus for over 8 years. I have two in my garage, one I use in Canbus mode through the din socket, the other I use the battery tail and connect direct.
Not sure if its "better" than any other canbus charger, it just does the job

Used the 4 for a couple of years. I connect it via battery pigtail. I had an Oxford charger before. For a basic battery conditioner/charger is did it's job but it stopped working just after a year of use
Trust me I am a retired Doctor and lecturer at Oxford University of Structural and Mechanical/Electrical engineering.

I just got an Optimate 1 Duo for $50, since my new-to-me 2008 RT came with a pigtail for an optimate. It's worked just fine so far. Summers we spend away in France for 3 months so that's when I will probably keep it connected:
