Road 5s

Hi all,
Anyone used Road 5s on a 1250 RT ? If so how did you like them and most importantly what mileage did you get ? My RT had them on when I bought it seems like it had a new pair on about 6,500 miles ago, a new front fitted before I bought it and the same rear, which I reckon has done about 8,500 now. Bike feels a bit odd on turn in but I think that's down to a nice new front profile and a worn out rear that's flat on the bottom so it flops on and off this when cornering. A sensation I've felt before with worn tyres and one reason I always put new on in pairs.
I would be interested in your views and any thoughts you have. :cheers:

I have Road 5s GT at the moment, but my tyres only last around 6k before I change them. I would always use the GT rather than Road 5s. Had an email from Michelin explaining why heavy bikes should use the GT spec and not standard, due to weight of bike and the GTs have a stiffer side wall. But lots of people seem to just use the 5s.

Michelin advised to run the fronts a few pounds more than the manual, which helps with cupping, so I have always run the fronts at 28-29llbs which does help.

The road 5's are a good tyre but I got less mileage out of them than Casbar, on both my RT and XR.

The road 6 is giving a much better mileage return, again on both my bikes and the grip level is just as good if not better.

I’ve got 2k more out of both pairs of PR6 GT’s I’ve had , like others 6k on PR5 GT’s
