Time for New Brake Pads

As above, been told my rear pads are low.... 12k miles, is that about normal?

Anyway, doing a search for new, Nippy Normans has EBC, not the clearest selection but fleabay has same, Double HH... £25
Mine is a 2020 shiftcam, there appears to be different listings for 2019 bikes? Did the pads change around that year?

Anyway, who's using what?

I prefer Brembo pads (rather than buy them from BMW) as they’re OEM fitment and match the discs. For Brembo advice on the correct spec of pad for your use:

As above, use brembo pads from non Bring More Wonger supplier. Also they are red and everyone knows red brakes are better.

Thanks Both..... not an easy website to navigate....... several options but saying front wheel application but showing arrows at the rear wheel and doesnt list 2020 bike, Im assuming the pads didnt change at this year.

Cant find a UK supplier either..... did you guys buy them recenty in the UK and did you use the LA version?

The Brembo site does take a bit of sorting, but from the first link -

“ Of the sintered pads, the only one specifically for the rear is the SP: one of its benefits is its consistent performance both cold and hot. This is demonstrated by its friction coefficient, which stays constant, despite the fact that the temperature varies between 122°F and 752°F. ​”

So, their recommended is the 07BB03SP which is available from Sportsbikeshop for £36.99 with free P&P

That's almost exactly what I got out of the OEM rear set on my '18 R1250RT. My mechanic said you'll generally get 2x Rears to 1x pair of fronts. At just over 22,000 miles I'm still on the OEM front and the replacement rears (EBC) have performed well enough.

I've just replaced the front and rear pads on my 1250RT. I also use EBC HH pads.
Replaced them due to how rusty they were, they still have loads of life in them.
Tried Brembo pads on my Gen2 Busa and hated them.
EBC have a much better feel to them.

Cant go wrong with EBC pads. Been using them for years
