I just bought my 2006 r1200rt knowing the drive shaft needed replacing. I was very shocked by the cost of a replacement. The best new price is around $1300 Canadian. Does anyone have less expensive option ie a supplier, a rebuild, after market? Where to buy?
They do not appear to be rebuildable. I will be removing the shaft today to determine if it is a 20 or 22 tooth spline and if it looks rebuildable.
Looking forward to touring on this amazing machine.

I have heard that a driveline shop can install new joints, I have been lucky enough to not have needed the service.
