To give me an idea of the route we can take.
What sort of mileage would you want to ride.
I know some of you will be riding some miles to get to Abber on the day.
So i don't want to make it to long or to short a ride.
I know its also down to the weather on the day to.
I could make up 2 routes, one longer than the other.

Up to 5 hours would suit me. Got a couple of hours to get there (and then back). If you want to plan something longer I can break off and make my way home when I feel like it.

I assume that the routes will be circular from Abergavenny Bus Station. The time/distance needs to suit those who are riding in/out on the day.

As hopefully Markus & I will be in Abergavenny all day on the 6th May, I'll come prepared with a route which he & I can do later in the day should time allow it.

This is a route the wife and i do some times.
Its about 100 miles and with some stops it will be about 4 or 5 hours.
If we have a cupper at Abber, then ride to Llandovery for another stop.
From Llandovery to Builth Wells and stop there if we need a loo break.
Then back to Abber for another cupper and a chat before some make there way home.
These are some nice roads to ride IMO and worth taking your time to ride them.
But If anyone has any other thoughts, please let us know.

Here is the route im thinking of.

If there is sufficient time for Markus & I to do an additional ride to the one offered by EasyRider, I've knocked up this one out of a Readers Digest book, "The most amazing scenic journeys in Britain". 60 miles in ~2 hours.

You need to watch some of them roads, This time of year the farmers are starting to work the fields and there will be a mud on the roads. There more a summer time to ride roads, not spring.

This is another route taken out of the RD book around Brecon Beacons which Markus & I might do, 90 miles in 2.5 hours.

At the moment, Markus hasn't got a motorcycle. Hopefully by 6th May, he'll have another one, probably a GS again.

In the event that Markus doesn't get his new motorcycle before the beginning of May, I wouldn't ride all the way (250 miles) to Abergavenny on my own.

However, I would still consider meeting up halfway (125 miles) at Ilkeston and having a circular ride out from there. Something like this might work, the idea was taken out of the Readers Digest book, "The most anmazing scenic journeys in Britain".

How would this scenario fit with those others who are attending on BH Monday 6th May. Being more central, this may appeal to others too.
