Removal of top front fairings and headlight

Post by HerGato100 »

Hello everyone. I’m new to this forum and I am glad I found it!

I am trying yo remove the headlight as I want to upgrade to LED bulbs. I know it is possible to do this without remove of the headlight assembly, but could not do it.

Can someone please help me understand how to remove the top fairings? There’s a screw on the top fairing next to the mirror that I can not remove without breaking it. Are there any tricks?

Thank you for any advice
Glenn

This video will show you show to remove all of the body panels. I’m not sure if the panel/screw you need to remove is covered in the video.

Thanks for the video, it will come useful when attempting to service the bike in the near future.

It did not show how to remove the top panel which is the one needed to remove the headlight assembly. I appreciate your feedback.

These may help though I can't find the video and can only assume it' been taken down. These older posts refers to similar problems -

Thank you for the information. I was able to take out the panel as it was held by a plastic pull out pin. Easy.

Thank you for the help, now all I have to do is put it back together the same way it came......
