Clutch disengagement when bike warns up

First ride of the season, first ride on my 2016 R1200RT, 14,000 miles. Love the bike, how it rides, handles, power, etc. previous ride was a V-twin Kawasaki Vulcan Voyager. Having an issue with the clutch. When the bike is cold the clutch disengages with no issues. Once the bike warms up when I take off from a start it seems like I am taking off from second gear. Have to rev the bike when disengaging the clutch otherwise I stall it out. Stopped for lunch and when we left the restaurant the clutch disengaged like it is suppose to but again once it warmed up, same issue. Any suggestions?

Make sure you have not engaged the hill assist.
On the clocks you will see a "H" with a circle around it.
If its "Green" that mean the hill assist is on.
If its "White" that means its off.
If its on you need to slip the clutch more and give it more rev's.
Use the brake lever to turn it off and on.
Have a read of the owners manual.

The first time i rode an RT i stalled it at the first 5 junction as i did not know about the hill assist. My wife who was on the back was taking the piss out of me all day because of it

Thanks for your response. The Hill Start Control is not on. According to the manual,’The Hill Control is automatically deactivated after pulling away’. I played around with the hill control assist but the ‘H’ flashes yellow a few times and won’t engage. (Another issue but not concerned about that right now, I live on the Prairies of Manitoba). Your post did trigger my thought process though. I will check to see if my brakes are maybe hanging up after they warm up. Right now the wheels spin freely when the bike is cold. I will update my post after I check this out. Thanks again.

It will flash yellow if the side stand is down.

Drove the bike for about an hour , stopped and put it on the center stand to check if the brakes were sticking causing my issue and they were not. Took it off the center stand and stalled it on take off! I see on Facebook someone posted that they are having the same issue.

Basically your bite point is moving as the bike warms up!

A lot of people have had the issue me included

I replaced the clutch fluid and it helped but never eliminated it completely.

I set my clutch for how I want it when it was warmed up and deal with the bite point been too close till it warms up rather than the other way round

Seriously good luck with changing the fluid! It's a nightmare
