Off to Spain/Portugal at the weekend

I've done a couple of trips round Wales, and a couple of up and down to Scotland so far, but nothing more than that, so it will be interesting how I get on with the bike over a few thousand miles.

So I'll do a few pictures and notes when I get home on how things went and what worked and what didn't, but to start with I've set it up with a few changes before I go. I've added raised handlebars, added lowered foot pegs, fitted a Sargent seat, and drilled some holes in the Power bronze touring fairing I bought last year. I'm using the bikes nav system, which I think is a poor effort to be honest, the interface and app based system leaves much to be desired, I still have no idea why it can't just auto connect to the bike rather than waste time every time you stop and the thing disconnects

Still

Roll on next week.

Hi James,
I went to France, Spain, Portugal, back into Spain then Andorra and back through France. My first trip into Europe, 4025 miles in 14 days, absolutely brilliant. Some of the best riding was in Portugal, I'm sure you will enjoy it just make sure you have good breakdown cover and health insurance.
I enjoyed it so much I'm going again this June for three weeks this time, two of which will be spent in Portugal. If you route plan and are told " no route without these unpaved roads" don't worry a lot of small hilltop villages have cobbled streets instead of tarmac.
Enjoy.

I've been to the EU 8 or 9 times and the USA a couple of big trips also 3k+ miles on pretty much all of them, so I'll be ok and know the score ;)

I won't get carried away

Sorry, I misunderstood your post, I thought you were saying you had only ridden in the UK.😳
