Fork oil

Having taken my forks off for repainting, I may as well change the fork oil and seals. Anyone know what weight of oil to use and how much on a 07 model. Is it worth upping the oil weight?. My bike is fitted with the ESA if that makes a difference, but can't see it does over the standard set up

The Haynes manual gives a fork oil weight of 10W and a capacity of 0.62 litre.

Unlike conventional forks, the Telelever forks contain neither damping mechanism nor springs, only oil to lubricate the friction surfaces.

Therefore, IMO, it's not worth changing the oil weight.

Duh forgot that there are no springs. Should have known this when I replaced the seals 4 years ago. Cheers David :thumb:
