HELP .. HEADLIGHT ADJUSTMENT ISSUE

2012 with the knob to adjust the headlight... it does not work.. I have the bike apart and I am not sure if there is a part missing or what.. the online catalogs don't show the detail for the cable attachment at the light housing ... just the light housing as one unit. Photo shows the parts I have. THANKS!
update ... I found a photo of the cable attachment... looks like I am missing the black knob... can anyone tell me if the little- what looks like philips- head on the shaft that is in this photo is normal ? as I don't see how the black adjuster that I am missing would attach to the shaft.
