2022 1250RT - Plotting destinations on the fly

Phone and helmet connected to tft and working fine.
I’m using the tft Connected app satnav and I’ve reached my plotted destination.
How do I plot the next destination?
It seems I can only plot the next destination from a recent destination, a favourite or a poi from the tft dash.
Wtf is that about?
The tft sees my contacts for phone calls, why won’t it let me plot one as a destination?
If I take the phone out of the cubby, which I don’t want to do, it has the blacked out wifi screen and I can’t access the BMW sat nav app, without turning everything off and starting again.
Am I missing something here, or is the app/tft that obstructive?
