Trim Pieces for 1250RT panniers

Post by rugger »

Hello all

Over the past 3 years I have dinged up the painted trim covers on my side cases. I have ordered the replacements as I have not found anyone available to do the light body work and paint on the old ones.

My question is, how difficult is it to remove the trim pieces and replace?

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Not actually your answer, but it is doable as this post from '23 for a repair shows the panniers with the trims taken off.

This link shows the pannier lid only, but more importantly what looks like locator holes where the trim 'clips' to the lid.
