Controlling Apple media player from TFT / wonderwheel

I'm having trouble controlling media via the TFT dashboard.
I can get Previous/Next track, of what I set to play on my iPhone, but I cannot select or change media via the TFT / wonderwheel.
I also, cannot adjust the volume to my headset via the wonderwheel.
Both functions are shown on the BMW Motorrad video on YouTube.
Is anyone else experiencing this, or is it working for you?
