Re: Advice regards repainting the silver bits above the footrests

Allrover, you want to hang on a bit ( this is a true story) Exactly the same happened to my 2005  RT.  I went to the Birmingham bike show and to the BMW stand.   I sussed out who I thought was the most senior bloke there, I made a fuss and went to one of the bikes on displ...

Re: YET MORE RUMOURS ABOUT FRENCH BIKE LAWS.

Re: taller wind screen for rt?

I might be wrong but I would have thought that , If you didn't have a screen on, then your body would  cause more resistance than having one. After all the screen is shaped to cut down on resistance, whereas your body would be more like a sail because of the shape If that was the case then...

Re: taller wind screen for rt?

Slowvet    Have you thought about a laminar lip?? I tend to ride with the screen top about level with my nose, the wind goes above my helmet. In fact at 70/80 mph I can keep my visor open In towns ,slow speeds and manoeuvring  I tend  drop it to its lowest level....

Re: R1200RT Twin Cam (2010-2013)
