Yes, sorry - temporary.  I traded in a Navigator IV with my 2013 TC and I've ordered a V with the new bike.
I can get the use of the demo Iconic in the meantime but it doesn't come with a satnav.

BMW Communicator

I've read a few negative comments on the BMW communicator. I have a BMW system 6 helmet fitted with the communicator and have found it worked pretty well with the Navigator IV and with my phone via the Navigator IV.  It also worked well enough with a pillion and was just about adequate for ...

Re: Potential Beemer Guy - Advice on pending purchase

My 2 cents ? - go for a 2013 TC (last of the air cooled). ESA not essential. The low seat in the lower position should be ok for you but, if not, there are replacement suspension units which will make it a real lowboy (at a cost). You mention concerns about range - I used to get 250 miles before sto...

Re: Falling into slow corners

My brother had something similar which turned out to be a problem with the suspension - knuckle joint I think.
Might be worth getting the suspension / steering checked. My brother had felt it was a tyre issue too .....

Re: Insurance Query (For a Friend)

..... I would add that I firmly disagree with the above suggestion that if the repair is not paid through insurance then it does not have to be declared. It most certainly does and if you do this then renew without telling the insurer, you are breaching the terms of the policy and they will be full...

Re: Ferry crossing

Re: Ferry crossing This pic shows the loops as ready for the "stops" to be attached. I leave them as in the pic for the duration of my trip then stow then inside near the battery when not required. I've always used the strap across the seat method and never had any issues with permanent d...

Re: BMW Builders - Berlin

If they're anything like Ducati, they don't stick to their own running in procedures - apart from getting the engine hot before winding it up on the rolling road.

Re: BMW Builders - Berlin

I've done the tour of the Ducati factory in Bologna a couple of times - looked remarkably similar, right down to the happy smiley faces !

Ducati make two items in house (crankshafts and camshafts) - I'm guessing BMW do something similar ?

No. Had one fail in Germany, at the time (2015) the bike was under a used bike warranty. The RHS switch was changed & were on our way again. If the German dealer had had the LHS switch in stock, they would have changed both. The LHS switch was changed at a later date in the UK. Don't know if th...

..... Is there an after market upgrade option for the "flimsy plastic rubbish" switches? ..... Buy a liquid cooled model ! :not: But seriously, having had a 2007, a 2010 twin cam and a 2013 twin cam, the change in switch gear for 2010 was a real backward step in terms of quality - I lost ...
