Tyre Change Charge

I was pleased to have found a new set of Road 6 GTs for £320, I removed my wheels and took them to my local bike mechanic for the tyres to be changed over. Mrs Sullivj kindly collected them for me whilst I was at work. I was shocked to learn that to change two tyres and disposal of the old ones was ...

Thanks Nick. It's an impressive thing to do, although I'm not sure it's for me. I think my concentration could deteriorate over such a long period.

Good luck with your adventure. Let me know when your sponsorship link goes live and I'll contribute.

Captain Sisko - RBLR 1,000miles in 24hrs

Hi Nick, I noticed on your bike that you've done this at least at once before, and I see in another thread you're planning to do it again...Made me wonder if your name should actually be Captain 'Psycho'! Seriously though - 1,000 miles in 24 hours is quite some achievement. Where do you ride to cove...

Nice work SimonD.

It’s on my To Do list. How did you get the springs on and off?

Re: What did you do today?

Took the wheels off for a tyre change in advance of our 1st RT European Meeting.

£320 for the Road 6 GTs, plus fitting.

Glad you had a good trip.

I’ve not heard many good things about the newer Nav. Think I’ll stick with my Nav 5

Re: South West & South Wales Area

“Friends Over Forecasts” - I’d rather ride with friends in the rain, than on my own in the sunshine.

That said, I don’t pay much attention to the forecast. Good job really or I might have missed out on a superb group ride.

Perhaps he decided to have his own meet up, directly after the arranged one.

Surely not, that would be really odd, wouldn't it.....?

Re: South West & South Wales Area

The 2nd night banter continued over a glass or two of red wine at a cheeky little Italian! Great weekend chaps.

Captain Sisko did a cracking job of leading our ride today. Inspired confidence and kept us all well within the speed limits - thanks very much Nick.

2025 UK RT MEET UP

Many thanks to Dave Clough for volunteering to organise our annual meet up next year.

Magnificant scenery, gated roads and bloodbike stories are all a certainty.

Looking forward to it already. Cheers Dave

Re: South West & South Wales Area

Great to meet Captain Sisko, who kindly led us around the roads of Wales. Despite looking like rain, we had a completely dry day of riding.

Time for a few more beers at the hotel before dinner in town.

That’s the 2024 UK RT meet up, almost done.

Re: South West & South Wales Area

I had a completely dry ride into Abergavenny.

Just found a nice welcoming pub whilst waiting for the others to arrive safely.
