Hex GS911, anyone use one ?. 2 fault codes ?
I’ve recently bought a GS911 WiFi from a friend, downloaded the drivers and software etc then used it via iPad on my 2019 R1250RT. I did an Autoscan which ran with no issues but it’s detected 2 fault codes. Satellite body controller - CAN-bus fault and another Engine controller - Tank venting valve-...

I don’t suppose anyone in the UK has all the tools needed for the 1250 ?.

Re: Software bug on 2019 1250RT
If you don't have the TV screen on the bike, the engine and chasis update could easily be done during the service if you ask for it. TV screen bikes can take up to 6 hours. My dealer was reluctant, even though i don't have the TV screen, and I did not press the point. I shall have words with them. ...

Ok thanks, I read the words ( wear and tear parts now included) on a document…Casbar wrote: Flapper valve is classed as part of the exhaust and exhaust is not covered. Again this was the case when I had the extended warranty on my 2014, have only just taken it out on my 2019 bike, so haven't recently checked.

Re: Motoscan
Thats not something I have explored to be honest but I suppose the real question would be what do you want out of a diagnostic tool? and would the motoscan suit your needs? if it does everything you want then do you need the gs-911 I don’t know that’s why I asked lol!, I will do some digging. At th...

Re: Exhaust flapper valve does not cycle at ignition ON.
Been there and got the T shirt with respect to lubing the flap spindle and top. Quick back story, 2014 bike, two sets of headers over 30k miles. 1250RT, new headers at 5k miles, on this bike, I regularly lubed the spindle with special high temp grease (recommended on a US forum). Made no difference...

What bars did you fit, and was there a specific reason for that make? I’m leaning (sorry ) to the Ilium bars despite the price.
Just bought NN’s pannier lid protectors for the occasional boot scuffs, soapy water and hair drier to hand!
I’ll let you fit your protection film first Steve

Re: Even at 6'2" my seat seems very high
5’11” with a 32” leg here too, and I can just get my feet flat on the ground on high setting but I have Sargent seats. FWIW I also have lowered rider footrests because I found the lower seat position a bit cramped. I think you can get replacement rubbers to make a ‘mid’ setting from China...
