Re: Aftermarket sat-nav for UK RT1250
I have just come back from an almost 3000 mile trek through Spain/Portugal, and the BMW one only dropped out once, and that was in remote mountains. I'll just keep using it as once you get used to it it's better then you may initially think, although I still agree BMW have dropped a clanger and it s...

Re: Touring in the EU, unusual signs
News to me also, seen them, but never been tripped up by them. I guess in practise the yellow box won't matter as you have right of way, but the line through it, and the cross are both one to look out for even if the locals don't really follow them - it just takes one...........

Browse my posts, I've put on risers, peg lowers, a Sargent seat on HI and a bigger windscreen and I'm 6 1"
Re: New RT
Welcome to the forum, the bike looks great, but the colour is very much like triple black from the pictures, any chance of a close up to see that colour in the flesh so to speak

Re: Insurance premium for a R1250RT
I've struggled with the last couple of bikes I've bought as they were over £20k, which a lot of insurers simply will not insure. Insurance has also gone through the roof this year, many policies are 30/40%+ more expensive, which is not as much if it was £300 in the first place, but on a new bike in ...

Re: Mapping/Tuning your R1250RT - anyone had it done?
I have heard lots of good and bad and don't know what to believe to be honest I have seen videos showing dyno runs before and after and some showing results and some showing no change! :? I totally get it, hence this post to see what others have done, but I was there in person when they done this t...

Re: Mapping/Tuning your R1250RT - anyone had it done?
I had an R1200GS RTLE done by Hilltop about 6 years ago and it made a big difference, it was so much smoother than standard, I noticed it as soon as I got on the bike, not even out of the car park and I felt happy. Here is the graph for anyone interested, I'm not sure why they were getting slated, I...

Mapping/Tuning your R1250RT - anyone had it done?
I'm not after extra power, but more low down torque would be nice, especially as my last bike was a K1600GA, so I thought about a remap/tune and was wondering if anyone had done it and what the results were like, especially low down as I'm never up over 5/6k revs anyway (mostly )

Way to go, you have had a few set backs, but got your foot in the door with Triumph, who know what it will lead to

No idea of your budget or direction with bikes, but is it worth having a go on some of the newer models - like the R1250RT before you start spending money on this one?

Re: Finally, a new Boxer!
Doctor T has done some of this - the keyless alarm can be set via the menus, basically the alarm sets automatically or you can turn it off (I've just been on a ferry to Spain, so this is a good thing for me), and you can press the button on the right bar or key fob for the central locking - the fue...
