Re: Con or Not
Well... Let me see. You don't trust him, but you gave him "bank info"? This sounds risky. The first/last time I bought from another person, (not a dealer) I went to my bank and had them issue a "cashier's check" for the full amount made out to the seller's name. Cashier's checks ...

Re: sending a Message!device update
Here's the update: I did need the cable to connect that $20, blu-tooth, device. It connected. It gave information about the engine over it's own app. That app is tailored for BMW cars, not motorcycles. The information was generic : RPM, error codes, oxygen mixture even BUT (I like big buts) It didn'...

Re: Which fuel
I guess we digress... What gas to use? Low octane or High? I'm encouraged by those who say use cheaper gas. 1) no engine damage 2) no performance decrease Consider compression ratios. Yamaha FJR .........10.8 : 1 (87 octane) BMW r1200...........12.0 : 1 (91 octane) Does the 1.2 compression increase ...

Re: Which fuel
FYI 1 US Gallon = 3.7854 litres. Let's call the UK selling price is £1.30 per litre, then 1 US gallon of unleaded would cost £4.92 At the current exchange rate £1 = $1.30 so £4.92 equates to $6.43 per US gallon. Given that the oil per barrel price is global and US petrolium plants can't cost signif...

Re: Bike friendly hotels
You are correct!!!
I NEVER stay in the major city .
If you're visiting London, stay in Norbury or Croydon.
The same idea applies.
Skip Los Angeles. It's a city best seen at 70 mph as you drive through it!

Re: Which fuel
I used the posh stuff until the prices went crazy then I went to standard, tbh I don’t notice the difference other than at the till! I'm considering doing the same. In sunny So. Cal, the avg price for " Premium" is $5.25 (3.94 British Pounds) per Gallon!! (Forgive me for not knowing what ...

Re: sending a Message!
I'ma guessing this is the cable:
I'll order one just in case . Wow I hope this $20 unit can clear the message. The local independent BMW mechanic wants $60 to do it!- Wed Apr 09, 2025 7:26 pm

The unit looks like this:
I'm hoping the packaging will recommend something.
This is still all new to me!
I'll get myself over to Amazon and see if I can figure out what cable it needs. Not sure exactly what this cable will be called or where to find one. I'm hoping the packaging will recommend something.
This is still all new to me!

Let's start with something simple....
Does that Device/Software (I see that it's both now) clear the "Service" message?
