Re: passing horses
My daughter rides horses and also ran a stable for a few years. I asked her about this and she suggested that it probably depends upon how the rider controls and steadies the horse when traffic is passing.

Re: Proper technique for passenger mount/dismount?
My wife has a hip problem so we explored several alternatives. One that partly worked was for me to be on the left side of the bike on it’s side stand, while she got on from the right side. However, ultimately we settled on the kick method. We look for a high kerb that she can stand on bef...

I chose the LE spec because of the additional features. It also appeared to be the popular choice.

Each to his own. We all have our own preferences it seems, and that’s what makes the world go around.
Happy riding.

Re: Warming Up Before Riding
Many times I have read advice that said start the engine and let it idle for 30 seconds so that the oil circulates around the engine. Then ride it but do not rev it to the red line until the engine has fully warmed up.

Works for me.

Re: 2015 R1200RT Adding Radio

Last but not least there ...

Re: New here from Kentucky, USA
Welcome. I was new to the RT when I bought mine 8 months ago. It is the first touring bike I have owned and I have not regretted one minute - in fact I am more keen to ride it than perhaps most of my previous bikes.

Ditto. I had a R1100S BCR and have been a member of the Boxertrix form for some time, even though I sold the bike last year. Would like to think that you would reconsider and stay on.
