The cough is starting to get me down a bit, so i started to google for some info before i go back to the doctors. Re: Abba Stand

My RT with panniers and top box is 99% of its parked life, on its side stand. It is the most awkward balanced bike to get on the centre stand in all my 50 years of riding motorcycles. Yes I know the rear plank of wood trick makes it easier, but still hassle.

Re: Potential R1200RT Owner

Lower seat is available, but it has very little padding and feels like a plank after 100 miles.

Re: Recall work

Just tried the BMW safety recall site and no recalls due for my bike, however just had urgent letter from BMW for the foot peg issue.

Re: The Spec of my 2016/66 R12RT

Anyone know what is the difference in spec between a 2015 spec LE and a 2016 LE ? All I can see visually is the reflector on the fork leg.

Having watched my Navigator pop out twice whilst riding ( luckily caught it before falling to the ground ) I too am liberal with the silicone spray to make sure eject system slides better.

Re: Pannier Handle fails to lock

I sometimes have the same problem when the bike is on the side stand. When it was serviced by BMW, the tech guy said he could not find a problem putting on, or taking off the panniers. I assume the bike was on main stand on their lift whist he was doing this?

I never let my tank empty so low that it might suck up any crap lying in the bottom of it on either bike or car. :?
