Re: Tyre pressures
That brings back memories. I owned a TL1000 when they first came out. Bright yellow. I had the biggest tank slapper ive ever had. Within 6 months Suzuki recalled them and fitted a steering damper. Loved the bike until some git nicked it. Then for some unknown reason, i bought an Orange Jota which i ...

Re: Tyre pressures
I may try to lower the rear to 38psi to see it soften up a bit. When the bike was delivered it was set up at 36/38 and it would drop into corners like it was running flat tyres. Perhaps if i lost some weight it might help

On my previous RT, i replaced the battery. The batteries only cost a few pounds. Have a look at tinderboxarts on YT. It's a easy job

Re: Tyre pressures
So you are running 36 psi front and 42 psi rear. At 36psi. I found the bike dropped into corners at 36psi hence why i went 38psi front.

Tyre pressures
Hi, chaps. I will start i have pilot road 4 on my 2007 RT. I set the pressures as stated in the manual and the front felt like i was running on a flat tyre. I've been trying different pressures front and back and now ive settled for 38 front and 40 rear. These pressures seem to transferred the handl...

Re: What are these?
Spot on David. I do have Cruise control. Makes sense as it looks like a throttle cable going into the box. No mention of this box in the Haynes manual.
The 2 wires with the blocked off plug, could i fit a USB socket to this?

What are these?
Found this in the right-hand side of the fairing. Seems to have a throttle cable and a load of wires going into a box. What is this?.
The other thing is a blanked-off plug with a brown and a brown/red stripe wire. This is located towards the rear of the passenger seat. What is this?.

Re: R 1200 rt headlights
LED and HID headlamps bulbs are now illegal to retrofit and will cause a failure on the MOT. The only way to get over the law is to have the correct reflectors but these are only fitted by the manufacturers. A lot easier with the normal 7" round headlamps as you can buy the complete unit cheapl...

Re: fairing power socket
It's a Keis V501RP Pro. It's not a full jacket but a body warmer. I find as long as my torso is warm I've no need for heated sleeves. I've also just bought a pair of Keis G701 gloves but they draw more at 1.6amp.
