So to be sure we’re on the same page the pannier guards i’am referring to, are hard rubber and mount on the black portion of case lid with double sided tape, their on both my 1600 and my 15RT

Pannier guards are from Bmw, have your dealer check on these, they are the same for both the RTLC and the 1600. If I remember correctly about $200 US for the set of 4

Machine art moto makes some really nifty heavy/plastic cylinder guards, i’ve Suffered the same fate with a zero speed get off, along with the BMW pannier guards, zero damage to bike, ego not so much though!

Tulio Not sure if this helps, but I had the same issue shortly after changing my FOB battery, seems I had bought a no-name cheap battery and bike didn’t like it Switched to a Panasonic battery and all it well 6 months later, it does happen that a battery could be bad from the start FYI I carry sever...

Battery is easy to access, right side cover off I installed a powerlet fused plug, negative post on battery is very accessible, for positive I secured it to red post just forward of battery On my bike I mounted the plug just abeam the rear suspension, in the black triangle plastic piece Settings sho...

Be 100% sure when changing filter the old gasket is not stuck to engine, otherwise 100% sure it will leak!!
A thin film of oil on gasket and tighten to 11nm, you should be good to go, proper filter wrench made for your filter end, will ensure filter does not get crushed

Schubert C4 along with Sena/Schubert built in, works quite well on my 15RT, ended up with the Sena handlebar remote, sound quality is 4.5 out of 5

Try Corbin seats, they make a smuggler for the RT, looks cool, although never scene one in person
