Ceramic Coated my '23 RT
After detailing my RT, I ceramic coated it with Avalon King Armor Shield IX. Very easy to do, (wipe on, let sit for a minute or so, and wipe off) it's that easy. The finish looks like a wet clear-coat and is supposed to last two years. I did everything, the paint, black plastic, windshield on both s...

Bracket for Skene Brake Lights when using the Saddlebags '23 RT
I made this bracket (out of aluminum) for my Skene brake lights. Now I can move them further away from the licence plate and out to the middle of the side-cases. This should increase the rear visibility.

They can be drilled to fit, like I did.

Re: R1250RT Observations
The clock should fit in the top case.. It's well documented that the IPhone won't connect properly with the BMW connected App which isn't good if that's what you want to use. I tried putting the clock on the seat resting it on the top-case, but the wife was squawking about not being able to see, an...

Re: R1250RT Observations
Hi Guys, are you both using IPhones? I've had the 1250 with tft since they released it and at first the connectivity was cr4p but after a couple of updates everything was perfect. It auto connects every time with both my Samsung phone and pack talk bold coms unit. I'd never go back to a Nav 6 and o...

Re: R1250RT Observations
I couldn't agree more, I also was so looking forward to the TFT and the ACC on this bike, but sadly both are disappointing. With the TFT in navigation mode, I can't read any streets that are rolling past, even fully zoomed in, sad. The ACC has you following too closely to the vehicle in front, even ...

Re: Speedometer Error on my '23 RT
You won't find many speedos that are calibrated spot on. IRC Manufacturers are allowed a 5% tolerance, i think it used to be 10%. Also, how do you know the App is spot on?. My 07 reads 3 MPH more like yours. I'm not 100% sure of anything, but the Nav5 (GPS signal), and the app (GPS and cell towers)...

Re: Speedometer Error on my '23 RT
This must have been a fluke that the speedometer (76 MPH), Nav5, and the App all read almost the same 75 MPH on my 2020 RT.

Speedometer Error on my '23 RT
I just returned from a ride with my phone speedometer app running on my '23 RT. Speedometer App speed indicated = 50 MPH / TFT = 53MPH 60 MPH / TFT = 63MPH 70 MPH / TFT = 73MPH 80 MPH / TFT = 83MPH I was consistently 3 MPH below what BMW had programmed into the TFT speed, FYI. (your results may vary...

Re: Video : XM and AM Antenna Issue '23 RT
I have a case opened with BMW, and it's supposed to be addressed at the 600 mile service next week, fingers crossed. On my 2020 RT, no problems with the ugly antenna next to the windscreen, my '23 looks pretty but doesn't function, lol.

Video : Music Listening Options Using Two Phones 2023 RT
On my '23 RT, I can listen to the music from the bikes radio (XM, FM, AM,) through the bike's speakers, or with a second old phone (no cell service or Wifi) connected to my good phone through it's personal hot spot Wifi. It works great, and I can go back and forth between the two. The cell company w...

Re: ACC and Gear Shift Assistance Pro Deactivation???
A lot of cars are going this way with the cruise! our car you can resume the cruise and work your way up the gearbox without it cancelling Instead of tapping the brakes to switch it off twist the throttle forward will cancel it Yes, you are correct and I'll just twist the throttle forward before do...

Re: ACC and Gear Shift Assistance Pro Deactivation???
Today I got out on both my 2020 RT (no ACC) and my 2023 RT (with ACC). 1 : The 2020 RT, with cruise control activated, downshifting without touching the brakes or clutch, cancels the cruise control, (I personally like this better) and you start to slow down. 2 : The 2023 RT, with the ACC activated, ...
