Up hill 180 degree bends… my 1250 will loose power on occasion with that scenario, bmw obviously think you maybe falling off or in difficulty and the sensors cut power but this is more likely to cause a fall imo !.
I had a software update which apparently lessened the effect and I also replaced the bank angle sensor for good measure, that helped but I did have it occur again once with the wife on board.
The scenario being referred to is that which Panman has highlighted.
IMO, loss of engine power be that because of lean/bank angle sensor or traction control is not good when executing 180 degree tight uphill hairpin bends.

An honest sensible reply from Panman which may help to answer the OP
So every other answer has been dishonest and ridiculous has it??
You've probably never riden the modern RT but yet you pick up on the one negative comment, reference the 1250.
I also had that senerio happen to me on my 2019 RT but I knew it was my riding style that would cause it. In 1st gear and a little aggressive on the throttle pulling it out of the bend, you could get the TC cutting in causing the power to intermittently cut out My latest RT doesn't and hasn't done it on any tight 180° corners and rider aims only kick in if the front wheel starts to lift.

Agreed, when It happened to me the first time if I hadn’t had my witts about me I could of fallen, a tight ish left or right hander on a steep incline used to set it off, I could open the throttle fully and it would just surge and keep its same momentum, imo if loaded with a pillion etc with traffic around I’d rather be in control of the throttle!. It’s definitely improved 90% after fitting the replacement sensor and the software update, unfortunately I fitted the sensor at the same time as the update so no idea which helped the most.
