On display...

Post by slparry »

Last weekend Halliwell Jones Motorrad Chester had a breakfast open day, one of their techs is an ex colleague of mine and they'd asked via him if they could have some of my bikes for their classic display.

So they had my BoxerCup, the K1 and the R80-RS .... the HP4 is, sadly, not mine :D

It still rides surprisingly modern feeling, and according to the GPS will still record 150 mph (allegedly officer ;) )

This is her outside the Silverstone Hilton on a business trip to KTM UK when I was with KTM Chester, having just finished a commemorative lap of the circuit at Anglesey (hence the number) and sporting the rare K1 luggage system

Personally I think the K1 was before it's time. Like many I thought it was ugly when it first came out. Some companies are still trying to design a better slipstream design these days
