EasyRider wrote: Mon Mar 03, 2025 11:17 am Well yesterday all i did was take all the bikes out of the garage and gave the garage a tidy up.
Today i took the battery off my Hayabusa and fitted it to my ZX9r and brought a new battery for the Hayabusa.
I am thinking of selling the ZX9r, but i say that every year and never do. its just a beautiful bike.
I had a 51' plate ZX9r and it was one of the best bikes I've ever had. Would commute, teach CBT, track-days, everything with that bike and would have another (additional to the RT) if the right one came along. I do look from time to time but nothing says "buy me".....yet

Took my mate up to Motolegends via some twisty backroads… a pleasant day out.

Their coffee is very good, plus he bought some of the new Held boots, which are a close copy of Daytonas but a good bit cheaper.

R45/65 are the best BM that I've owned. Regret selling them

I’ve owned both now, R65 in my Youff, I seem to remember it vibrating more than a rampant rabbit!
The R45 is a lot smoother to ride, but very slow 😀

Yes the 45 was a smoother bike and fun through London traffic with its Kangaroo Suspention. Made it feel more powerful on take off.

I found the horn connection, so that's fixed! Also replaced front brakes, removed wiring to nowhere from Authority elements that no longer exist, and began putting everything back together. That was five pounds of wiring, connectors, switches, etc!

This morning i went for a ride on the back roads on my Varadero.
Had a bit of a blast and enjoyed it.
Stopped at Abergavanny for a coffee or two and had a chat with some friends.
Lots of cars on the road today and i think i pissed some of them off.
How dare they get in my way and stop me having fun.
Lots of bikes out there today, and apart from one GS rider they all nodded.
The GS rider had matching textiles and helmet to his blue/white GS

A matching kit is a way to clear your wallet quickly. Changing your bike or colour means having to buy a new kit. For that reason, I always buy plain clothing. Mostly black with a single colour helmet

I've also just washed the Varadero as it was a bit salty.
Last time it was washed was just before winter.
